The Friends of Bentley St Paul's School is a dedicated group of parents who help to raise money for the school throughout the year.
The Friends of Bentley St Paul's School are a registered charity, set up to raise additional funding for the school. The money we raise helps to add value to the children’s day to day school lives. Not only by organising fun events, but also by providing extra equipment for the children to use. Over the past two years, we have paid for both the new stage in the hall and the new PA system. We have also provided new seating for the school playground along with new balls, skipping ropes etc. for the children to play with. The new school library has also been helped by money from the Friends. On top of this, we have also arranged numerous activities for the children to enjoy, including the Royal Wedding celebrations at the school, the Christmas lunch and the school disco.
As you can imagine, each year our contribution to the school can run in to thousands of pounds. We therefore rely entirely on the kind donations from parents and local businesses and for parents to show their support at as many of our events as possible. Without the support of the parents at the school, we would not be able to continue which would be a great shame as our hard work benefits the children so much.
We are a dedicated group of parents who work very hard outside of our normal work and family lives, to plan and organise events that will not only raise money, but will also be enjoyed by both parents and children alike. We welcome any suggestions parents may have for us, and equally would love to see parents get involved with us by joining the committee. At the beginning of every new school year we hold our Annual General Meeting where we invite parents to put themselves forward to join us as a new member of the committee. Please always feel free to get in touch if you would like to be on board, or have any other ideas or suggestions or would just like to help out at one of our events.
We regularly publish our own newsletter which is aimed to keep parents aware of everything we have planned for the forthcoming months. These are distributed via the children's bookbags.
